Weintraub & Alper Legal. is proud to announce that the firm's Managing Partner, Howard Jarrett Weintraub, will be a member of the 2014 Emory University School of Law Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques. This program provides all second-year Emory law students with a foundation in trial advocacy so that the law students can develop confidence in their trial presentation skills, learn how to develop and implement a cohesive trial strategy, learn how to conduct simulated courtroom direct examinations and cross-examinations of trial witnesses, and obtain confidence in presenting opening statements and closing arguments to a jury. This program is modeled after the National Institute for Trial Advocacy program, which is used to teach practicing lawyers.
Emory's program is one of the largest in the country and has been recognized as one of the nation's finest trial techniques programs. More than 50 prominent trial lawyers and judges from across the United States will serve as instructors for this year's May session.
As an instructor, Howard Weintraub draws upon his 39 years of experience, including ten years as a federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Atlanta United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia. Over the years, Howard Weintraub has handled hundreds of trials and has earned the reputation among his peers, members of the judiciary and his clients of being an extremely prepared, tenacious and ethically minded criminal defense lawyer.
